Since the beginning of the academic year the IUP athletics teams have been gathering money for the Make-A-Wish foundation as part of a Division II service initiative.

The average for schools participating is near $1,200, but the Crimson Hawks have gone above and beyond that raising $3,619.60.

The swimming and diving teams have led the effort bringing in $615. The men's basketball team raised $335. The softball team also brought in over $300 with $312.

The Crimson Hawks joined up with a local high school senior who also made a donation to Make-A-Wish during the football game with Slippery Rock.
