Laurie Ajavon and Kevin Raymond won two event titles, IUP went 1-2-3 in both the men's and women's long jump and Crimson Hawk athletes totaled 12 first place finishes at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February Meet.

Ajavon had an NCAA qualifying mark of 38 feet, 1 ½ inches in winning the triple jump and her distance of 18 feet, 11 ¼ inches in the long jump edged teammate Tamika Taylor by ½ inch, although Taylor did improve her national standing in the event.

Brianna Liebold finished the IUP trifecta in the long jump at 17 feet, 9 inches and was second to Ajavon in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 3 ½ inches.

Other first place finishes by the Crimson Hawk women were turned in by Taylor in the 55 meters with a time of 7.31 after posting a 7.22 in the prelims and Ayanna LeBlanc in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 7 ¾ inches.

The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Taylor, Liebold, Jhana Jones and Liz Tepsic set a school record with a winning time of 1:47.41.

On the men's side, Raymond won the 200 meters in 22.13 and had a winning time of 50.12 in the 400 meters. Nafee Harris took only one jump in the long jump but it went 24 feet, 1 inch to best teammates Sammy Ndiyo (21 feet, 2 inches) and Yoann Godet (21 feet).

Tristan Taylor won the 55 meters (6.55), Clint Keller crossed first in the 3,000 meters (9:02.18), Hillary Mugun took the title in the 5,000 meters (15:10.23) and Matt Celestin had the top mark in the triple jump (44 feet, 2 ½ inches).

Four IUP women had runner-up finishes, including Jones in the 400 meters (1:01.48), Lauren Bauer in the 800 meters (2:26.98), Alyssa Taddie in the 5,000 meters (18:31.00) and Nellie Henigin in the shot put (39 feet, 5 inches).

Godet and Leander Toney both tied for second in the men's high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 6 inches, and Josh Joson was second to Mugun in the 5,000 meters (15:39.67). The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Harris, Raymond, Celestin and Cameron Morse was second in 1:35.88.

IUP is at the Kent State Tune-Up on Saturday before qualifying athletes compete at the PSAC championships February 27-28 in Edinboro.
