IUP teams finished 1-2 in the men's 200 freestyle in the final event of the meet but fell just short in a 103-102 loss to Limestone in a dual meet Wednesday in Gaffney, S.C. It was the first defeat of the season after three wins for the Crimson Hawk men.

The IUP women also lost 116-78 to drop to 4-2 on the season. Both teams also competed at the Tampa Relays the previous week and finished in third place.

In the men's meet versus Limestone, Walter Smith won the 100 freestyle in a time of 49.76 and was also a member of the winning team in the 200 medley relay along with Dylan Mudlo, Gio Sherk and Stephen Hoch which posted a time of 1:41.18.

Josh Huger took first in the 100 butterfly and teamed with Luke Shaheen, Robert Wilson and Jimmy Yelinek in winning the 200 freestyle relay in 1:32.10.

On the women's side, Ashley McAteer was a double event winner, touching first in the 50 freestyle in 25.05 and 100 freestyle in 56.00. Jackie Hynson won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.58 and Ally Long captured the 500 freestyle in 5:26.81.

Both IUP teams are back in action Saturday with a 1 p.m. dual meet at Shippensburg.
