Results

Jen Price won two events, finished second in another and earned her second NCAA B cut of the season in IUP's swimming dual meet versus Clarion Saturday at Memorial Field House.

Price qualified for nationals in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.58. She also won the 1000 freestyle in 10:52.18 and was second in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.42. Price made the B cut time in the 1000 freestyle two weeks ago.

Melissa Kucharczuk and Jeff Gavin also took event wins. Kucharczuk touched first in the 100 freestyle (55.31) and Gavin won the 500 freestyle (4:59.42). Kucharczuk was also second in the 200 freestyle in 1:58.43 while Gavin was the runner-up in the 1000 freestyle in 10:26.09.

Five other IUP swimmers finished second. On the women's side, that list included Galit Regev in the 50 freestyle (25.75), Casey Beck in the 100 backstroke (1:03.07) and Kate Rowe in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.27).

In the men's meet, Dylan Mudlo was second in the 200 individual medley (2:06.70) and Jeremy Freedman took second in the 100 butterfly (55.50).

Perennial PSAC and national power Clarion won both dual meets. The Golden Eagle women won by a score of 126-79 while the men took a 141-58 victory. IUP is back in action with a dual meet at Gannon next Saturday.
