Whitney Woodward and Zephaniah Koech topped the IUP runners at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Woodward was the top women's finisher for the Crimson Hawks, taking 22nd place in a field of 158 with a time of 20:37.11 in the 5k race. It was her best time ever on the CMU course. Koech was 45th in the men's race, covering the 8k distance in 27:57.27.

Stephen Todaro was the No. 2 IUP men's runner, setting a personal best with a time of 28:08.17, almost two minutes faster than his time at the same meet a year ago. Garrett Milner was 70th in 28:32.38.

Emily Bodgen was the second IUP woman to cross, finishing in 22:89.84. IUP did not enter a full squad and was not part of the final team scores.

The Crimson Hawks run Friday at the Penn State National Invitational at State College.
