Eric Morrison begins his first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Crimson Hawks. He was a four-year starting outfielder for head coach Mike Wilson at Duquesne University and registered 237 hits, a batting average of .308 and 69 stolen bases in 208 career games.
Morrison was a Dean's List member and earned his degree in sports marketing. He is working with the IUP outfielders and baserunners and assists with the strength, speed and conditioning program.
Morrison has signed professionally to play next summer for the Texarkana Gunslingers, and independent club in the Continental Baseball League. He is a 2004 graduate of Bethel Park High School in Pittsburgh and is attending graduate school at IUP. Morrison is working toward a master's degree in health and physical education.
