Jake Rougeaux allowed only one run in five innings, and Paul Bingham and Frank Sirolli combined for seven hits and six RBIs to lead IUP to a 15-3 win over Chowan in the second game of Sunday's doubleheader and a split of a four-game series.

Chowan rallied for a 12-11 win in the first game, scoring three times in the sixth and finishing off its comeback when Justin Bagby hit a three-run homer in the seventh. IUP is 2-2 and Chowan is 4-6-1.

Sirolli went 4-for-5 with two doubles, four runs scored and two RBIs in the nightcap. Bingham added three hits and knocked in four. The Crimson Hawks banged out six doubles in the second game, including four in an eight-run second to take an 8-2 lead.

Cory Sawka had a single and two-run double, and Mark Woleslagle knocked in a pair of runs with a single as part of the big IUP uprising. Sirolli tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Bingham in the third, and Bingham drove in two more with a fourth inning base hit.

The Crimson Hawks scored seven runs in the third inning of the first half to wipe out an early 4-1 Chowan lead. Dylan Songer drove in two runs with a single, and Bingham, Jamie Smith and Robbie Zinsmeister also had RBI singles.

IUP added a run in the fifth when Zinsmeister doubled and scored and tacked on a run an inning later to build a 10-6 lead before Chowan rallied behind Bagby, who had four hits, including two home runs, and drove in six.

IUP is scheduled to travel to Greensburg to face Seton Hill on Tuesday.
