3/14/09 - Men's BasketballIUP's Breakout Season Continues as Crimson Hawks Down No. 2 Virginia Union at NCAA Atlantic Regional Gerald Brooks had consecutive baskets to cap a 14-2 run that gave IUP a 10-point lead with less than four minutes remaining, highlighting his 20-point performance in a 69-63 victory over Virginia Union in the opening round of the NCAA Atlantic Region tournament Saturday at Gannon's Hammermill Center. 3/11/09 - Men's BasketballJulian Sanders Named PSAC West Freshman of the Year; Gerald Brooks and Darryl Webb on First Team IUP continued its run of PSAC West Freshmen of the Year with the selection of guard Julian Sanders by the conference head coaches while forwards Gerald Brooks and Darryl Webb were both named to the all-conference first team.
