IUP freshman forward Darryl Webb has been selected the PSAC West Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week and fifth time overall this season.

Webb averaged 16.5 points and eight rebounds per game while shooting 57.9 percent from the field including 5 of 8 from 3-point range as the Crimson Hawks split two games last week, defeating Shippensburg at home before losing at California.

Webb scored a season-high 26 points in a 74-63 victory over the Raiders on Wednesday, eclipsing his previous best of 24 which he has reached on three occasions. He made 9 of 12 field goal attempts and was 4 of 6 from behind the arc while also pulling down eight boards.

Webb then had seven points and eight rebounds and blocked two shots in a 60-47 loss to the Vulcans on Saturday.

For the season, Webb ranks fifth in the PSAC in scoring (17.0) and second in rebounding (8.8) and is the top freshman in the conference in both categories. He is also fourth in the PSAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.425) and 11th in blocked shots (1.10). Webb places 42nd nationally in rebounding in the latest NCAA statistics.

IUP enters Wednesday's game at Lock Haven with a record of 11-9 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC West. The Crimson Hawks are alone in third place in the conference standings.
