IUP defeated Lock Haven for the 26th consecutive time, holding the Bald Eagles to 127 total yards in an easy 44-13 victory at Hubert Jack Stadium.

The Crimson Hawks improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the PSAC West. Lock Haven is winless in eight games, including three in the division.

Andrew Krewatch completed 16 of 28 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with Anthony Cellitti on scoring passes of 26 and 16 yards and Garrett Lestochi on a 24-yard touchdown.

Cellitti caught four passes for 56 yards and became the 24th player in IUP history with 1,000 career receiving yards, finishing the game with 1,047 on 82 receptions, eight for touchdowns.

IUP also rushed for 200 yards, with Pat McDanel coming off the bench to lead the Crimson Hawks with 57 yards on 14 carries. McDanel capped the scoring with a one-yard run with 4:56 left in the game.

However, Craig Burgess' extra point attempt was blocked, the first PAT miss by the combination of Burgess and Matt McNelis in 35 attempts this season. Dating back to last year, IUP kickers had made 46 consecutive extra points.

Kareem Dutrieuille carried 13 times for 53 yards, and Poohbear McNeal had nine attempts for 46 yards and found the end zone from one and 22 yards out.

IUP also scored when Burgess made a 25-yard field goal on its first possession of the game following a Lock Haven fumble. The Bald Eagles tied the game on a 33-yard field goal by Marc Domonkos.

The Crimson Hawks then went ahead for good with 4:23 left in the first quarter. After a 34-yard run by Anthony Rodriguez on an end around, McNeal scored his first touchdown of the game. IUP quickly forced a punt and scored again before the end of the opening quarter when Cellitti took a short pass and turned it into a 26-yard catch and run that made it 17-3 after 15 minutes.

Domonkos' second field goal pulled the Bald Eagles to within 17-6, but the Krewatch-to-Lestochi touchdown made it 24-6. The Bald Eagles scored their only touchdown of the game after an Aaron Pryer interception and return to the IUP six set up a a three-yard pass from Ilio DePaolo to Damar Dowell with 1:11 left before halftime.

Any momentum the Bald Eagles might have had was taken away when IUP drove 54 yards on four plays, including a 31-yard pass from Krewatch to Mychal Skinner, and made it 31-13 at intermission on Cellitti's second touchdown of the game.

The Crimson Hawk defense sacked Lock Haven quarterbacks DiPaolo and Tyler Golden a combined five times which helped hold the Bald Eagles to just 49 yards on the ground. Jermaine Smith and Nate George both had their first career sacks, Anthony Guerra had his fourth of the season, and Terrence Jackson and Rob Plowman also had quarterback takedowns.

DiPaolo hit on 8 of 22 passes for 49 yards while Golden was 4 of 7 for 29 yards and was intercepted by Shayne Fletcher. Dwight Carroll led the Lock Haven ball carriers with 42 yards on 10 carries.

IUP stays on the road next Saturday for a 1 p.m. game at Clarion before returning home to face Shippensburg for a Family Weekend game on November 3.
