IUP shot a team score of 616 to finish in
second place at the Hal Hansen Invitational hosted by Clarion.
The host Golden Eagles won by a 13-stroke
margin over IUP, while the Crimson Hawks held a five-shot margin over third
place West Liberty State. Rounding out the top five were Millersville (625)
and Charleston (628).
Ryan Kennedy
(pictured) was the top IUP individual, tying
for third place with a score of 149. He had an even par 72 in the second
round on Monday, tied for the second best round of the tournament.
Gavin Smith tied for 13th (154),
Cory Stelick tied for 21st (156), Nic Milito tied for 25th
(157) and Leo Acklin tied for 32nd (159). Corey Gast of
Millersville took medalist honors with a score of 147.
IUP will compete next on September 25 at the
Guy W. Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny.
