Opening round play at the PSAC golf tournament was cancelled Saturday due to poor course conditions at the Hershey Country Club. The head coaches will meet early morning to decide if a shortened 18-hole tournament can be conducted Sunday. If weather again forces play to be wiped out, the tournament will be rescheduled for next weekend. IUP is the two-time defending champion while Leo Acklin won medalist honors at last fall's tournament. The Crimson Hawks return four of five golfers who competed at the 2008 championships, including Division II national champion Gavin Smith. |
