IUP raised its record to 3-1 with a
dominating 2-0 field hockey win over the Bellarmine Knights (2-2) at
Miller Stadium.
Liz
Marosky (pictured) scored the game winner, with an assist from Liz
Martini with only 26 seconds remaining before halftime. It was
Marosky’s first goal of the year.
The Crimson Hawks sealed the win
with a goal by Katie Schwartz with just under three minutes remaining.
Barb Heemelaar picked up the assist.
The Crimson Hawks outshot the
Knights 23-1. Goalie Lydia Dolly made a save on the only shot she
faced.

carries a two-game winning streak to East Stroudsburg for its PSAC
opener on Wednesda. The Crimson Hawks return home for their PSAC
home opener on September 11 with a 4 p.m. game against Bloomsburg.
