Gannon scored the first four goals of the game, built a 10-4 lead by halftime and went on to a 19-6 victory over IUP in a PSAC West contest. IUP is 4-9 overall and 1-6 in the PSAC West and Gannon is 12-3 and 5-2 in the division. The Golden Knights are ranked seventh in the nation. Stephanie Bianco led the Crimson Hawks with three goals while Sarah DeMaio, Corinne Miller and Sarah Smith had one each. Lauren Montague and Becca Vogt both contributed an assist. Taryn Millerd had six goals and Colleen Dixon had five for Gannon. Kayla Nelson handed out five assists. Katie Lee went the distance in goal for IUP and made 11 saves. Acacia Cook had eight saves for the Golden Knights. The Crimson Hawks are back in action Monday at Holy Family. |
