IUP junior Sarah Romasco and freshman Heather Robbins have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-Atlantic Region second team for the 2008 season. Romasco was also a Daktronics all-region honorable mention selection.

Romasco (Freedom/Ambridge) led the Crimson Hawks with 16 goals and 39 points and tied for the team lead with seven assists. She was second in the PSAC in points, third in goals and tied for fifth in assists. Romasco had her fifth career hat trick with three goals versus Pitt Johnstown, three other two-goal games and tied a team record with three assists versus California.

Romasco is a three-time all-conference selection and was the PSAC West Rookie and Player of the Year in 2006. She scored a school-record four goals versus Clarion in 2007.

Robbins (Frederica, Del./Polytech) was second on the team and tied for seventh in the PSAC with 14 goals and 30 points and led the Crimson Hawks and tied for fourth in the conference with five game-winning goals. She had two-goal games versus Edinboro in her college debut, Pitt Johnstown and Clarion and earned second team All-PSAC West honors.

IUP posted a record of 13-9-1 last season, including wins over Gannon and East Stroudsburg to advance to the championship game of the PSAC tournament.
