Alyssa Jacobs scored with 14:50 left in the first half and host Clarion made the lead hold up as the Golden Eagles stunned IUP 1-0 in a PSAC West soccer contest Wednesday night.

The loss means the Crimson Hawks will finish third in the PSAC West and have to travel to Edinboro for the first round of the conference playoffs next Tuesday.  IUP (11-7, 5-4 PSAC West) concludes its regular season at California on Saturday.

IUP had won all nine of its previous games against the Golden Eagles by a combined score of 47-7, including an 11-0 victory earlier this season.

Kelsey Dowling of IUP and Jess Reed of Clarion (4-10-3, 3-6-1 PSAC West) both had seven saves.  Both teams finished with 12 shots.
