IUP junior forward Sarah Romasco was named to the All-PSAC West first team to lead five IUP players on the all-conference team in balloting by the league's head coaches.

Selected to the second team were sophomores Lauren Mizik and Allison Keller and freshmen Heather Robbins and Kelly Brennan.

Romasco is on the all-conference first team for the third time in as many as seasons at IUP and was the PSAC West Rookie and Player of the Year in 2006. Mizik is on the second team for the second straight year while the other three players are making their debut on the team.

Romasco (Freedom/Ambridge) scored 16 goals and added seven assists for 39 points this season and ranked second in the PSAC in points, third in goals and tied for fifth in assists. Romasco scored three goals in an 8-0 win over Pitt Johnstown for her fifth career hat trick and one shy of her school record of four set versus Clarion last year.

A two-time Daktronics All-Northeast Region first team selection, Romasco will enter her senior season with career totals of 57 goals, 31 assists and 145 points. She needs only three goals and assists and seven points from passing Erin Falce for the top spot in school history in all three categories.

Mizik (Irwin/Hempfield) is one of the top defensive players in the PSAC, helping the Crimson Hawks allow only 32 goals in 23 games while usually being assigned to mark the opponent's top offensive threat. She is also instrumental in pushing the offensive attack from the midfield.

Keller (Exton/Downingtown) started all 23 games and had two goals and seven assists, tying Romasco for fifth in the conference in the latter category. She tallied her goals versus Kutztown and Clarion and had a two-assist game versus Wheeling Jesuit.

Robbins (Frederica, Del./Polytech) was second on the team in goals with 14 and points with 30, ranking in a tie for sixth and seventh, respectively, in those departments. She also led the Crimson Hawks with five game-winning goals. Robbins had two goals in wins over Edinboro, Pitt Johnstown and Clarion.

Brennan (Middletown/Middletown) led the PSAC with 144 saves and was fifth in the conference with a save percentage of .832. A freshman who took over in goal early in the season and started 22 of 23 games, Brennan recorded a goals against average of 1.36 and had shut out Lock Haven and Gannon, the latter by a score of 1-0 in the opening round of the PSAC tournament.
