Five IUP women's soccer players have been named to the All-PSAC West team for the 2009 season, including first team selections Sarah Romasco, Allison Keller, Lauren Mizik and Kelly Brennan and second team choice Heather Robbins.

Romasco, a senior, is making her fourth appearance on the All-PSAC West first team while Mizik, a junior, made it three for three and moved up to the first team this season. Keller, Brennan and Robbins are each on the all-conference team for the second time after earning second team berths a year ago. Keller is a junior and Brennan and Robbins are sophomores.

Romasco has eight goals and nine assists for 25 points entering Friday's opening round game of the NCAA Atlantic Region tournament versus Gannon. She is tied for second in the PSAC and ranks 37th in the nation and places eighth in the conference in goals and 10th in points.

Romasco holds school career records for goals scored (65), assists (40), points (170) and games played (84). Her 21 goals and 55 points in 2006 are the second highest season totals in school history while her 20 goals and 51 points in 2007 rank third. She has recorded five career hat tricks and shares the school record with four goals in a game versus Clarion in 2006.

In addition to her all-conference honors, which include the PSAC West Player award in 2006, Romasco is also a two-time Daktronics all-region selection and was named to the ESPN the Magazine All-District II Academic team with a 3.77 cumulative grade point average as a math education major.

Mizik was the PSAC West Freshman of the Year in 2007 and is one of the top defensive players in the Atlantic Region. She helped spearhead an IUP defense that has allowed only 30 goals in 20 games by marking the opponent's top offensive threat. Mizik also helps push the Crimson Hawk offensive attack and scored her first career goal this season versus Lock Haven.

Keller is second on the team and tied for 10th in the PSAC with five assists and also scored four goals this season. Two of her goals came in the conference tournament, including the lone tally of the game in a 1-0 victory over Mercyhurst in the opening round. Keller has played in all 63 games in her career and has totals of seven goals and 13 assists, tying for eighth in school history in the latter category.

Brennan leads the PSAC this season with 157 saves and 7.85 saves per game while ranking fifth in save percentage at .840 - the 35th best mark in the nation - and tied for four with five shutouts. She had six games with double figures in saves, including a season-high 16 versus Slippery Rock and 10 in the 1-0 win over Mercyhurst in the quarterfinals of the PSAC playoffs.

Brennan has started 42 games over the past two seasons and also led the PSAC in saves as a freshman last year with 144 and had two shutouts, including a 1-0 victory over Gannon in the conference playoffs.

Robbins leads IUP in goals and points this season with 14 and 30, respectively. She ranks third in the PSAC in both categories and is also tied for third with five game-winning goals. Robbins is also 62nd in the nation in goals per game and 72nd in points per game. She had three two-goal games this season, including consecutive contests versus Lock Haven and Edinboro.

Robbins, who was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Atlantic Region second team as a freshman last season, has scored 27 goals and has 60 points in her first two seasons at IUP. She already ranks seventh in school history in goals and eighth in points.
