Erin Holloway did not allow an earned run in 12 innings but IUP could not translate her performance into a victory, losing 2-1 and 1-0 at East Stroudsburg in a non-conference doubleheader Saturday.

The Crimson Hawks had six hits in each game but left 12 runners on base as their scoring drought continued. IUP, which dropped to 14-14 on the season, has scored only eight runs in its past 10 games, including nine defeats. East Stroudsburg is 16-11.

Alex Daughenbaugh had four hits in the doubleheader and drove in IUP's only run of the day in the first inning of the opener. Marissa Leslie led off with an infield single, went to second on a sacrifice by Kristen Tunno and scored on Daughenbaugh's single to center.

IUP had a chance to extend their lead in the sixth when Daughenbaugh, Sam Goettman and Megan McCormick had consecutive singles to start the inning. But Daughenbaugh was thrown out at home trying to score on the McCormick single and pinch runner Kelsey Kerrigan was gunned down at third to kill the rally.

The Warriors then put together three of their six hits and took advantage of a key error to score two unearned runs off Holloway in the bottom of the sixth to pull out the win. Holloway finished with four strikeouts in the first game.

East Stroudsburg scored the only run of the nightcap in the third on an error, sacrifice bunt and RBI single by Rachel Gieringer. IUP left two runners on in the fourth and fifth and then wasted a golden scoring opportunity in the sixth.

Tunno and Daughenbaugh singled to put runners on first and third with nobody out. Goettman lined out to third and Tunno was doubled off for an unassisted double play. McCormick then grounded out to end the threat.

IUP will look to get back on the winning track when it resumes PSAC Central play with a home doubleheader versus Clarion Sunday at Podbielski Field beginning at 2:30.
