Kristen Tunno was named to the Daktronics All-Atlantic region team

IUP sophomore outfielder Kristen Tunno has been chosen to the Daktronics All-Atlantic Region softball second team by the region's sports information directors.

Tunno led the Crimson Hawks and ranked ninth in the PSAC with a batting average of .390, tying her with Maureen Hensel for the highest single season average in school history.

Tunno had 41 hits in 105 at bats and added nine doubles, a triple, a home run, 21 runs scored and 22 RBIs. She tied for second on the team in doubles and was third in hits, runs and RBIs.

In two seasons with the Crimson Hawks, Tunno has a batting average of .363 (85-for-234), tied with Molly Carr for second in school history and only .006 behind leader Hensel. Tunno also ranked 13th in career slugging percentage at .453.
