IUP earned its first PSAC West victory of the season, edging Slippery Rock by a score of 3-2 in a seesaw battle Tuesday night at Memorial Field House. The Crimson Hawks won 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 15-25, 15-11 in their final home match of the season.

The Crimson Hawks are 15-19 overall and 1-9 in the PSAC West while Slippery Rock dropped to 24-10 and 4-7 in the division.

Tessa Siewert, Racquel Cabrera and Maddie Schulte each had 12 kills, with Siewert hitting .579 for the match and adding four blocks and two aces. Cabrera contributed three blocks and Schulte had 10 digs.

Danielle Ostendorf matched Siewert with a team-leading four blocks and joined Alyssa Prince with seven kills, and Chelsey Kreinbrook had three blocks to go along with 45 assists and 13 digs. Emily Pany led the Crimson Hawks with 29 digs.

IUP wraps up the 2008 season with a trip to Erie for a pair of PSAC West matches versus Mercyhurst on Thursday and Gannon on Friday.
