Nov. 6, 2009 IUP concluded its regular season Friday with a 3-1 loss to Mercyhurst. The Crimson Hawks fell to 17-16 overall and 9-10 in the division, while the Lakers improved to 20-11 on the season and 11-7 in the conference. Mercyhurst won by set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-13. The Lakers remain alive for a spot in the playoffs, while IUP will not qualify for post-season play in the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks are still in the chase for a birth in the NCAA Tournament. Selections for the NCAA Tournament will be posted on November, 16. |
