Brandon Ford earned an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the triple jump as did Laurie Ajavon in the long jump, and Nafee Harris just missed an automatic mark at the Ed Fry Invitational held Sunday at Miller Stadium.

Ford won the triple jump with a leap of 47 feet, 11 ¾ inches while Ajavon was second to teammate Brianna Liebold in the long jump with a best effort of 18-10. Liebold went 19-3 ¼ in the long jump and also won the triple jump (38-5) with Ajavon finishing second (35-3 ¾).

Harris, a four-time national champion in the long jump, won the event with a mark of 24-8 ½, just shy of an automatic qualifying performance. Harris also took first in the 100 meters (10.90) and 200 meters (22.10) and joined Hopeton Bailey, Alex Patterson and Elijah Williams on the winning 4 x 100 meter relay team (42.83).

Laura Nientimp and Jared Long both won two events. Nientimp took the 100 meters (12.60) and 200 meters (26.20) while Long captured the 400 meters (50.26) and 400 meter hurdles (54.14). Nientimp was also part of the winning team in the 4 x 100 meter relay (49.37) along with Liebold, Ajavon and Krista Matsko.

Rounding out the men's winners was Holden Wallace in the shot put (44-5 ¼). On the women's side, first place finishers included Liz Tepsic in the heptathlon (4,031 points), Jacquelyne Chantry in the 1500 meters (5:07.37), Brooke McDaniel in the 400 meters (58.08), Samantha Thompson in the 3000 meters (11:20.45) and Ayanna LeBlanc in the shot put (41-3).
