IUP is coming off of a big 69-45 win over rival California (PA) on the road last weekend and are 8-1 this year at home. The Fighting Scots fell at Gannon 66-48 on Saturday and have won once in the last four games.
LAST TIME OUTIUP was on fire from 3-point range against Cal, making 13-26 from beyond the arc in the 24-point victory over the Vulcans. Four Crimson Hawks reached double-figures in scoring, with Jr. G

WHAT'S NEXTThe Crimson Hawks are back on the road this Saturday when they face bitter rival Slippery Rock. SRU is currently 4th in the highly competitive PSAC West with a 7-3 mark and is one of the top scoring teams in the league, averging 77 points per game.

Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week after averaging 19.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg while shooting 52.2 pct fromt he field. He scored 19 against Cheyney - his former team - on Wednesday before dropping 20 on Cal.
IUP IN THE POLLSWith the help of its two wins last week, IUP moved up four spots to No. 16 in the latest NABC coaches' top 25, released on Tuesday. The Crimson Hawks have been ranked in all seven coaches' polls this season. They also reentered the D2SIDA media poll for the first time in several week at No. 25.
REGIONAL RANKINGSFor the 3rd consecutive release, IUP remains at No. 3 in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region rankings. This regional media poll is new this year and is voted on by a group of four sports information directors in each NCAA Division II region.
WIDENING THE MARGINThe Crimson Hawks have not played a close game yet in the 2015 calendar year, defeating their four opponents by an average of 20 points per game, including - 24 points vs. Cal, 22 points vs. Cheyney, 19 points vs. West Chester and 15 points vs. East Stroudsburg.
SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUTIUP is the top overall shooting team in the PSAC, leading the league in 3-point pct (39.9) and free throw pct (78.2) and is 2nd in field goal pct (48.8). Seven times the Crimson Hawks have shot over 50 pct in a game and nine times they've converted at least 77 pct from the foul line.
TAKING OVERNorfleet has been IUP's top scoring threat during its current seven-game win streak, averaging 17.9 ppg while shooting 55.0 pct from the field, 50.0 pct from 3-point range, and 96.4 pct from the foul line. He's reached double-figures in scoring all seven games, scoring a season-high 21 against Lock Haven and putting up 20 at Cal.

Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) has guided IUP's offensive charge all season long, leading the team with 14.3 ppg and ranking 1st in the PSAC with 6.3 apg. He has 13 double-digit scoring games and has dished out 7 or more assists six times. Chance is also shooting 45.6 pct from the floor and 81.3 pct from the foul line.
DISHING IT OUTChance is a main reason why the Crimson Hawks are 2nd in the PSAC and 35th in Division II with 16.6 assists per game. His 6.3 apg is 10th in the nation while Norfleet is 11th in the conference with 3.3 apg.

Shawn Dyer (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) has been one of IUP's top scorers in his first year with the Crimson Hawks, averaging 11.6 ppg. He's currently 5th in the PSAC with 2.4 made 3s per game and is 9th with a 39.4 3FG%. In his last three games he's gone 10-19 (52.6 pct) from 3-point range.
HEATING UPAlso on a hot streak has been Sr. F
Jeremy Jeffers (Wilson, N.C./Greenfield School). He's reached double-figures in scoring in five of his last six games, averaging 10.3 ppg over that span. He's shooting 60.5 pct (23-38) from the field and 60.9 pct (14-23) from 3-point range in those games.
PLAYING DEFENSEThe Crimson Hawks boast arguably the best defense in the PSAC as they're 2nd in the conference and 5th in the nation with just 59.3 points allowed per game. IUP has limited each of its last seven opponents below its season scoring average, including Cal and East Stroudsburg, which were held to 30 and 21 points, respectively, below their season averages.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART ISSince the start of the 2011-12 season, the Crimson Hawks are a combined 48-6 in games played in the KCAC. The best year came in their 2012-13 PSAC championship season with a 17-1 record, including 3-0 in postseason games. During that time, IUP has an average home attendance of 1,599.
SCOUTING EDINBOROThe potentially explosive Fighting Scots boast one of the top scorers in the conference in Jr. G Henri Wade-Chatman, who ranks 2nd in the PSAC with 19.5 ppg. He's reached double-figured in scoring in 14 of his 15 games, including a season-high 32 points against Lock Haven last week. He was, however, held to just 4 points on Saturday in a loss to Gannon. Edinboro dropped 90 on LHU last week and has a pair of 100-point outings, but have also been held to 60 or less points three times in its last six games. Also showing the ability to score is R-Fr. G Jaymon Mason, who's had four 20-point performances, including 21 against Gannon.
